Angels4Animals - Successes
Angels4Animals was
able to assist a concerned a rescued Siberian Husky who had unfortunately
swallowed an entire dead bird. Contacted
by the owner to see if we could assist we were able to, thanks
to donors like you. Here is the letter that her owner wrote us:
On June 19, 2006, the most remarkable blessing
was granted to Ki Ki, a Siberian Husky, on her death bed. Angels4Animals came through and provided funds by donating money for the critical
life saving emergency surgery Ki Ki needed to alleviate the blockage
in her intestines...the pancreatitis and the suffering she had endured
for the past 10 days.
After expending my last $800 providing "band-aid" type,
i.e., IV for dehydration, antibiotics, the vet wanted to put her
down when the x-rays revealed the culprit being a foreign object
lodged in her stomach and causing her not to eat, or drink water,
the high fever from pancreatitis. The vet quoted an estimate
way out of my budget as a recently unemployed legal secretary in
a new city. All I could think of as I refused to put Ki Ki to
sleep was that there had to be a way to save this poor, abandoned
animal I had rescued only 2 months prior to her crisis.
Within a day after her release from the animal
hospital, Ki Ki resumed a voracious appetite, runs upstairs, is
howling and has actually become more of a guard dog this past week! She
obviously knows that her life was saved and is grateful to me as
we surely bonded over that terrible period more than ever. She
thanks me with kisses, is protective of the household and follows
me around like a shadow now. So, I am writing your organization,
Mr. Schwartz, to say Thank You! WELL DONE! THANK YOU.

Recently, Angels4Animals was able
to assist a concerned resident of Riverside County with the problem
of illegal fireworks. After repeated attempts by the family to achieve
some change, they contacted us to see if
we could produce any movement with their Board of Supervisors. Here
is a
letter they wrote us:
Dear Angels4Animals,
I want to thank you for your help in getting our country Supervisor
[Mario
Ashley] to do something to protect our pets from the illegal use of
fireworks within the county and our city.
Your contact must have been very powerful because until
we contacted you,
Mr. Ashley's staff was sure there was little that could be done to
bring
about changes to make the laws more rigid. This action may not be in
time to
spare our pets this year, but hopefully it will help in years to come.
I am enclosing a copy of a letter and the official recommendation
made by
Mr. Ashley to the County Board of Supervisors. I thought you'd be interested
in knowing how this problem is being addressed.
Again, thank you for your input and intervention. you have made a
friend of
us, and hopefully as our income allows, we can support your program
for
animals.
Sincerely Yours,
Shelly Zimme
